بقعة عمياء: «إيدي» و«جيك» و«رايان» أصدقاء مقرَّبون لم يفترقوا قَطُّ منذ طفولتهم، وكانت «إيدي» تعتقد أن الرابطة القوية التي تجمعهم لا يمكِن أن تنكسر أبدًا، ولكن عندما يُقتَل «جيك» بوحشية، ويُتَّهم «رايان» بقتله، ينقلب عالَم «إيدي» رأسًا على عقِب؛ فلأول مرة منذ سنواتٍ تصبح وحيدة، تعيش منعزلةً في المنزل النائي الذي جمَعها ﺑ «جيك»، فيتملَّكها الحزن والرعب؛ إذ تشعر بأن ثمَّة مَن يراقبها عن كثب، ثمَّة مَن كان ينتظر هذه اللحظة منذ سنوات. والآن بعد أن أصبحت بمفردها، محطَّمة وغارقة في حزنها، يطلُّ الماضي برأسه ليلاحقها بعد أن حاولت جاهدةً تركه وراءها. تُرى ما الذي حدَث؟ ومَن ذا الذي يراقبها؟ ولماذا يتربَّص بها؟ هذا ما سنعرفه في هذه الرواية القصيرة المشوِّقة.
